The Maverick County Sheriff Department detained a female adult from Eagle Pass identified as 31 year-old Emily Garza on two different charges including DWI and possession of a narcotic.

According to information from Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber, sheriff’s deputies responded to Rosita Valley Road in the early morning hours of January 31, in regards to a motor vehicle accident. "At

Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber reported that 48-year-old Alvaro Dominguez was arrested this weekend for provoking a motor vehicle accident while he was driving intoxicated. 

 Dominguez was in the Pct 3. area of Memo Robinson Road when he caused a motor vehicle accident due to his impairment caused by alcohol drinking.  

“The driver of a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado was involved in a motor vehicle accident and was arrested after he was found to be intoxicated. Units responded to Memo Robinson Road after the Silverado had rear ended a 2015 Dodge Charger. Contact was made with the parties involved, Alvaro Dominguez displayed signs of intoxication,” said Schmerber.

“The occupants of both vehicles refused medical attention and Dominguez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.”

Dominguez is presumed innocent until proven to be guilty or pleading guilty in a court of law. 

Deputies were dispatched to Wagon Wheel Road in reference to a rollover at approximately 11:40 p.m. Wednesday evening.

  Over the four day holiday weekend, the Eagle Pass Police Department arrested two adult males and three adult females all in separate incidents for driving while intoxicated. All five adults were presented before a magistrate and remanded to the Tom Bowles Detention Center in lieu of individual bonds.
