Members of the community gathered to show their appreciation, and to honor local veterans on Saturday, November 4 during the Veterans Day Parade.

The Maverick County Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 8562 will host the 2017 Veterans Day Ceremony on Saturday November 11 at 11:00 a.m. at the Maverick County Lake Veterans Memorial Park in Eagle Pass, Texas. 

The City of Eagle Pass held a ceremony Wednesday, June 14 to celebrate Flag Day.

   Veterans both living and fallen were honored at the VFW Post’s Annual Memorial Day Ceremony held at the Maverick County Lake on Tuesday, May 30.

   “We can never forget their sacrifices and that’s why we commemorate this day, a day of remembrance for our fallen heroes; were it not for those who gave their lives in the defense of their country, we would not be standing here today,” said Veteran Ruben Salazar.
