The Maverick County Hospital District held a meeting on Wednesday, October 11 in which they held a discussion and consultation with their legal counsel Alex Fuller on matters pertaining to the County Indigent Uncompensated Care Agreement with the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center (FDRMC).
MCHD to host free Health & Wellness expo this November
The Maverick County Hospital District, in conjunction with Hope-K and the City of Eagle Pass, will be hosting their 2nd Annual Health & Wellness Expo.
The event will take place on November 1, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the International Center for Trade, and is a chance for the community to take advantage of completely free health services and information.

MCHD to review contract with FDRMC over indigent care
The Maverick County Hospital District ordered that General Counsel Alex Fuller look into the district’s 25 year long agreement with Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center regarding their County Indigent Uncompensated Care Agreement and Medical Office Building Land Lease Agreement that were causing financial problems.
