Southwest Texas Junior College President, Dr. Hector Gonzales; Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, Dr. Cheryl Sanchez; and Dean of the College of Applied Sciences, Juan Guzman have recognized 253 students for academic excellence during the 2015 spring semester. A total of 124 students were honored by earning recognition on the President's List. This academic honor is bestowed upon students who maintained a 4.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) in at least 12 hours. An additional 129 students qualified for Dean's List honors. To make the Dean's List, students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours and maintain at least a 3.6 GPA. “I am proud to announce the students that have met the rigorous requirement to be named to the President’s Lists,” Gonzales said. “I want to personally congratulate each and everyone of the individuals on the President’s and Dean’s Lists on their accomplishment.” A total of 38 Eagle Pass students earned recognition on the President’s List including Veronica Aranda, Jose Briones, Alex Bustos, Rene Cedillo, Cynthia J.
