Jose was born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila to Jose Luis De La Cruz and Virginia Marquez on December 28, 1940. He was a member and a brother of the Iglesia De San Antonio De Padua.
Jose was honest, sociable and was always thinking of others. He did not have a selfish bone in his body. He loved to tell jokes and make us laugh. He had a lot of energy and was very enthusiastic. He was joyful, responsible, and a very hard worker. He loved his barbecue and Coronitas, but not as much as his music. We will miss him singing to all his favorite songs. Rest in peace Dad.
Jose is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Luis De La Cruz, Virginia Marquez de Segura, & Luis Segura Arredondo, also a Grandson Patrick Williams III. Jose is survived by his five daughters, Virginia De La Cruz Mungia, Matilda Parra, Senaida Lopez, Maria De La Cruz, Gina De La Cruz Williams; one son, Florencio De La Cruz.
Jose had eighteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
A MESSAGE FROM DAD:
Now that I am gone, let me go. I have many things to do. Do not cling to me with tears. We shared many beautiful moments together, so be happy. I gave you my love, my way, and you should know just how much joy you gave me.
Thank you for the love you showed me, but now it is time to part.
Pray for me and allow your prayers to comfort you. Our separation is only temporary.
Bless your memories that you keep within your heart.
I will not be far, while life continues. If you need me, call me even though you cannot see me or touch me. I will ALWAYS be near you.
Love Dad.
A MESSAGE FROM GOD:
I saw that he was getting tired and a cure was not possible, so I wrapped my arms around him and whispered into his ear. COME WITH ME. And with your heart full of tears, you saw him disappear and although you loved him so much, it was impossible not to let him go. His golden heart stopped beating and working hands were laid to rest. I broke your heart only to prove to you that I only take the best.
Love God.
