Florencia Ramirez
1924-2018
 
Florencia has went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2018 at the age of 93. Florencia was born in Johns Town Pennsylvania to Placido Garcia and, Petra Cardoza on October 6, 1924. Florencia was survived by her four sons and her only daughter, Jesus Ramirez, Dora Luz Ramirez, Margarito Ramirez Jr, Rafael Ramirez, and Manuel Ramirez. She was also survived ber her brother and sister Arturo Garcia and family and Micaela Longoria and family. She had 16 grandchildren 37 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. A viewing service was held at Memorial Funeral Chapels on December 11, 2018. A funeral mass was held at Sacred Heart Church on December 12, 2018. Cremation services were performed at the request of the family. Arrangements were made under the care of Memorial Funeral Chapels. At this time we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for the Ramirez Family.

Jose Valentin Gonzalez
1951-2018
 
Jose has went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2018 at the age of 66. Jose was born Eagle Pass, TX to Alberto Gonzalez and Josefina Villareal on September 14, 1951. Jose was survived by his wife Tomasa Gonzalez and family. A viewing service was held on January 25, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Chapels. Family at Sancturio Nuestra Guadalupe in Piedras Negras, Coah, Mex. At this time we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for the Gonzalez Family.
 
Luis Morin
1959-2018
 
Luis Morin has went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2018 at the age of 58. Luis was born in Piedras Negras, Coah, Mex on September 14, 1959 to Ramon Morin and Juanita Lopez. Luis was survived by his wife Norma Delia Morin son’s Emmanuel Morin daughter Jeanie Morin and Moises Luis Morin. A viewing service was held on January 28, 2018 at Valdez and Son’s Crematory. A Cremation services were performed at the request of the family. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapels. At this time, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for the Morin family.
 
Angela Morua Cardenas
1929-2018
 
Angela has entered eternal rest on January 25, 2018 at the age of 88. Angela was born in San Isidro, Coah, Mex to Vidal Morua and Concepcion Correa on October 1, 1929. Angela was survived by her husband Jose Guadalupe Cardenas and her son’s Amador M. Cardenas daughter Francisca Ruiz Sonia Reyna Elsa Ochoa and son Juan M. Cardenas also by her seven grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. A viewing service was held on January 25, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Chapels.  Internment followed at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery on January 26, 2018. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapels. At this time, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for the Cardenas family.
 
Ruben Herrera
1936-2018
 
 
Ruben has entered eternal rest on January 24, 2018 at the age of 81. Ruben was born in Nava, Coah, Mex to Eliseo Herrera and, Maria Garza on April 15, 1936. Ruben was survived by his wife Guadalupe Solis, son Rolando Herrera, Marissa Herrera, son’s Ruben Herrera and, rene Herrera and his six grandchildren. A viewing service was held January 26, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Chapels followed by a religious service. Internment followed at Maverick County Cemetery on January 27, 2018. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapels. At this time, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for the Herrera family.
 
Nicholas Serfes
1932-2018
 
 

 Nicholas (Nick) Lucas Serfes, 85, passed away at La Vida Serena Nursing and Rehabilitation on January 26, 2018 in Del Rio, Texas. He was born on July 18, 1932 to Louis Arthur and Mary Emily (Frank) Serfes in Windham, Maine. Nick was an educated and adventurous man who was in the USAF, worked for and retired from the USPS, lived on a lake in Maine for many years, traveled and lived in Central America, became fluent in the Spanish language and settled in Del Rio, Texas, where he spent the last 25 years of his life. He loved the Zen of Motorcycle Maintenance and lived the freewheeling Jack Kerouac lifestyle.

Survivors include: the mother of his children, Florence Serfes of New Bern, NC, and their 4 sons; Michael Serfes of Laguna Woods, CA, and Anthony, Steven and Alex Serfes of New Bern, NC; and his 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; his brother Harry Serfes of Port Richie, FL and sister Mary Lou (Serfes) Haskell of Washington State.

He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Mary Serfes, and his brothers, Arthur Serfes of San Jacinto, CA and Bertel Serfes of Portland, ME.

As per his wishes, he will be cremated and his ashes will be laid to rest at one of his favorite spots in the Maine woods where he use to take his 4 sons camping and many happy times and memories were born. He was a long-time supporter of Save the Children Fund and any donations to that cause would be greatly appreciated.
 
Delfina Flores
1919-2018
 
Delfina has entered eternal rest on February 1, 2018 at the age of 98. Delfina was born on November 2, 1919 to Juan Herrada and Emilia Cruz in Mexico. Delfina was survived by her sons Reynaldo Flores and daughters Elva Martinez and, Maria Luisa Flores. A viewing service was held on February 4, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Chapels. Internment followed at Maverick County Cemetery on February 3, 2018. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapels. At this time, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for the Flores family.
