OBITUARY

George Bass 1934-2017

George Bass went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2017, in Quemado, Texas, at the age of 82. He was born on October 14, 1934, in Centinela, to Alfredo Bass and Carlota Hernandez.

George is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Bass and his sons, George Bass, Jr. and Alfredo Bass. He is also survived by his sister, Carlota Isabel Lawrence of Merritt Island, FL; and his brother, Alfredo Bass of Eagle Pass. Visitation for George was held on June 20 and 21, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. A Rosary was held on June 20 at 7:30 pm. Interment followed on June 21 at the Quemado Valley Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapels. At this time, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for the Bass family.

Angelina S. Castillon 1927-2017

Angelina S. Castillon, born on November 22, 1927, went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2017, at the age of 89, in Eagle Pass. Born in Guerrero, Coahuila, she was the daughter of Alejandro Sierra and Victoriana Perez. Angelina is survived by her daughters, Dora and Norma. She is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation for Angelina was held on June 15, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. A funeral mass was held on June 16 in Guerrero. Interment followed at the Panteon Municipal in Guerrero. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapel. Luis Humberto Marquez 1936-2017

Luis Humberto Marquez entered into eternal rest on June 13, 2017, in Eagle Pass, at the age of 81. He was born January 21, 1936, in Rosita, Coahuila, to Anastacio Marquez and Maria Barrios. Luis Humberto is survived by his wife, Consuelo; his sons, Luis Humberto, Hector Rolando, Ramiro Vicente and Victor Manuel; and his daughter, Adriana Isabel. He is also survived by his grandchildren. Visitation for Luis Humberto was held on June 15 and 16 at Funerales Socorro in Piedras Negras. A funeral mass was held at Iglesia Purisima Concepcion de Maria. Interment followed at Panteon Santo Cristo. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapels and Funerales Socorro. Ana Maria Herrera 1942-2017

Ana Maria Herrera, born September 25, 1942, went to be with the Lord on June 9, 2017, in San Antonio. She was born in Eagle Pass, to Julian and Aurora Chapa. Ana Maria is survived by her son, Jose de Jesus Herrera; her daughter in law; seven grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. Visitation for Ana Maria was held June 13 and 14, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. A funeral mass was held on June 14 at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church. Interment followed at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapel. At this time, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for the Herrera family.

Tony Reyes, Jr. 1936-2017

Tony Reyes, Jr. went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2017 at the age of 80. He was born on September 19, 1936, in Floresville, Texas, to Antonio and Maria del Refugio Reyes. Tony is survived by his wife, Jovita Reyes; and his sons, Tony Reyes III, Cesario Perez and Francisco Perez. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation for Tony was held on June10 and 11, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. A religious service held in Chapel A on June 11, 2017. Interment followed at the Quemado Valley Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapel. At this time, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for the Reyes family.

Laviano O. Menchaca 1926-2017

Laviano O. Menchaca entered into eternal rest on June 7, 2017, at the age of 90. He was born on December 8, 1926, in Mexico, to Pedro Menchaca and Luciana Olguin. Laviano is survived by his daughter, Beatriz Osorio and her husband; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation for Laviano was held on June 9 and10, 2017 at Memorial Funeral Chapel. A funeral mass was held at on June 10 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment followed at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapels. Bertha Rosa Morales 1925-2017

Bertha Rosa Morales went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2017, in Eagle Pass, at the age of 92. She was born on February 15, 1925, to Jose Dino Rodriguez and Rosaura Gonzalez in Piedras Negras. Bertha is survived by her daughters, Dora Alicia Mendoza, Josefa Mendoza and Aracely Aguirre; and her sons, Alfonso Morales and Humberto Morales. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation for Bertha was held on June 8, 9 and 10, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. A funeral service was held on June 10 at Lighthouse Baptist Church. Interment followed at Maverick County Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapels. At this time, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for the Morales family.

Adan Cardona 1957-2017

Adan Cardona, born September 14, 1957, went to be with the Lord on June 4, 2017, in Eagle Pass. He was born in Fort Collins, Colorado, to Adan Cardona and Guadalupe Barboza. Adan is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Cardona; his sons, Adan Rafael Cardona, Xavier Cardona and Michael Cardona; and his daughter, Emily Cardona. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven brothers and sisters. Visitation for Adan was held June 6 and 7, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. A funeral mass was held on June 7 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment followed at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapel.
