OBITUARY

 

 

 

Felipe De Leon

1935-2017

 

Felipe De Leon went to be with the Lord on April 19, 2017, in Eagle Pass, at the age of 81. He was born on October 7, 1935, in Nuevo Leon, to Refugio De Leon and Cardina Iracheta.

Felipe is survived by his daughters, Linda, Dora and Maria; and his sons, Felipe Jr., Jesse and Juan. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation for Felipe was held at Memorial Funeral Chapel on April 23 and 24, 2017. A funeral mass was held on April 24 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Interment followed at Maverick County Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapels. At this time, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for the De Leon family.

 

 

 

Rosa Elia M. Vallejo

1941-2017


Rosa Elia M. Vallejo, born on September 4, 1941, went to be with the Lord on April 19, 2017, at the age of 76, in San Antonio. Born in Piedras Negras, Rosa was the daughter of Felipe Muzquiz and Eufemia Cuevas. Rosa is survived by her husband, Tomas; her daughters, Alma Leticia, Aurora Carolina, Rosa Elia and Juanita; and her sons, Rolando and Tomas. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation for Rosa was held on April 21 and 22, 2017 at Funerales Socorro. A funeral mass was held on April 22 and interment followed in Villa de Fuente. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapels and Funerales Socorro. At this time, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for the Vallejo family.

 

 

 

Julia V. Herrera

1934-2017

 

Julia V. Herrera entered into eternal rest on April 14, 2017, in Eagle Pass, at the age of 83. She was born January 20, 1934, in Rosita, Coahuila, to Nicolas Valdez and Genoveva Duran. Julia is survived by her children: Jose, Jorge Luis, Polo, Esmeralda, Florestela, Raul, Gabriel, Daniel, Gerardo and David Aaron. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation for Julia was held at Memorial Funeral Chapel on April 18 and 18, 2017. A religious service was held in Chapel A. Following cremation services, interment took place at Maverick County Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapels. At this time, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for the Herrera family.

Monico Puentes

1922-2017

 

Monico Puentes went to be with the Lord on April 11, 2017 at the age of 94. He was born on May 4, 1922, in Kyle, Texas to Refugio and Victoria Puentes. Monico is survived by his sons, Juan Antonio Puentes, Monico Puentes Jr., Victor Manuel Puentes, Jorge Alberto Puentes and Rolando Puentes; and his daughters, Maria Victoria Opperman, Patricia Margarita Lopez, Graciela Solis and Sofia Puentes Chavez. He is also survived by twenty-seven grandchildren and forty-seven great-grandchildren. Visitation for Monico was held at Memorial Funeral Chapel on April 16 and 17, 2017. A funeral mass was held on April 17 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment followed at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapels. At this time, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for the Puentes family.

 

 

 

Rafael Cuevas

1993-2017

 

Rafael Cuevas, born July 16, 1993, went to be with the Lord on April 9, 2017 at the age of 23 in Eagle Pass. Rafael was born in Eagle Pass to Rafael Cuevas and Olga L. Rodriguez. Raul is survived by his father, Rafael Cuevas; his mother, Olga Cuevas; his wife, Brenda Fernandez; and his son, Roberto Cuevas. He is also survived by his sisters, Karina Cuevas, Olga Y. Cuevas and Cindy Cuevas; and his brother, Arturo Cuevas. Visitation for Rafael was held April 11 and 12, 2017, at Funerales Socorro in Piedras Negras. A funeral mass was held on April 12, with interment following at Panteon Santo Cristo. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapel and Funerales Socorro. At this time, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for the Cuevas family.

 

 

 

David Maldonado

1970-2017

 

David Maldonado entered into eternal rest April 8, 2017, at the age of 47. He was born on January 26, 1970, in Eagle Pass, to Armando and Margarita Maldonado. David is survived by his parents, Armando and Margarita; and his son, David Andres Maldonado. He is also survived by his sisters, Ana Lucia Rodriguez and Claudia Maldonado Cain; and his brothers Rodrigo Maldonado and Armando Maldonado Jr. Visitation for David was held on April 15 and 17 at Memorial Funeral Chapel. A funeral mass was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on April 17. Interment followed at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapels. At this time, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for the Maldonado family.

 

 

 

Ernesto Villanueva

1948-2017

 

Ernesto Villanueva went to be with the Lord on April 9, 2017, in Eagle Pass, at the age of 68. He was born on November 11, 1948, to Hector Villanueva and Estela Navaro in Mexico. Ernesto is survived by his wife, Leticia; his children and grandchildren. Cremation services were held at the request of the family. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapels. At this time, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for the Villanueva family.

 

 

 

Homero Morales

1923-2017

 

Homero Morales, born on November 23, 1923, went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2017 at the age of 93. He was born in San Vicente, Coahuila, to Cayetano Morales and Hercilia Hernandez. Homero is survived by his children and grandchildren. Visitation for Homero was held at Funerales Socorro in Piedras Negras on April 1 and 2, 2017. A funeral mass was held on April 2 at the Santuario de Guadalupe. Interment followed at the Panteon Municipal in San Vicente. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapel and Funerales Socorro.
