survived by his sons, Moises Esparza Jr., Lorenzo Esparza and Adolfo Esparza; and his daughters, Jesenia Rios, Sandra Zamarripa and Belen Delgado. He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and six brothers and sisters. Visitation for Moises was held at Valdez and Sons Funeral Chapel on March 23 and 24, 2017. A funeral mass was held on March 24 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment followed at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery. Maria De La Luz Luevanos

1928-2017

Maria De La Luz Luevanos entered into eternal rest on March 9, 2017, in Eagle Pass, at the age of 88. She was born July 18, 1928, in Del Rio to Marcos and Enriqueta Zertuche. Maria is survived by her children: Hector Armando, Marin, Marcos, Cynthia Elva, Agustina, Enriqueta and Diana Leticia. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation for Maria was held at Memorial Funeral Chapel on March 13 and 14, 2017. A funeral mass was held on March 14 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment followed at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery. Raul V. Chavez

1928-2017

Raul V. Chavez, born August 20, 1928, went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2017 at the age of 88 in San Antonio. Raul was born in Mexico to  Juan Chavez and Ofelia Villarreal. Raul is survived by his wife Maria R. Chavez; his son, Juan Chavez II; and his daughters, Adriana Santos and Gisela Ramos. He is also survived by six grandchildren. Visitation for Raul was held March 10 and 11, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. A funeral mass was held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on March 11, with interment following at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery. Luis V. Chavez

1942-2017

Luis Vicente Chavez entered into eternal rest March 8, 2017, at the age of 74. He was born on December 19, 1942, in Mexico, to Luis Chavez and Maria de Jesus Garza. Luis is survived by his wife, Enriqueta; his daughters, Laura and Guadalupe; and his son, Eduardo. Visitation for Luis was held on March10 at Memorial Funeral Chapel. A religious service was held in Chapel B. Cremation services followed.Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapels. Jose M. Zavala went to be with the Lord on March 5, 2017, in Eagle Pass, at the age of 72. He was born on March 18, 1944, to Benigno Zavala and Maria Guadalupe Martinez in Zaragoza, Coahuila. Jose is survived by his wife, Maria; his sons, Marcos and Jose Luis; and his daughters, Norma and Juanita. He is also survived by his grandchildren. Visitation for Luis was held at Memorial Funeral Chapel on March 6 and 7, 2017. A funeral mass was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on March 7. Interment followed at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery.
