Socorro Gonzalez

1947-2016

Socorro Gonzalez, went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2016, in Eagle Pass, Texas. She was born October 20, 1947, in Mexico to Bonifacio and Cecilia De Hoyos. She is preceded in death by her husband, George. Socorro is survived by her sons, George Gonzalez, Jr., and Gabriel Gonzalez; her daughter Sally Del Toro; and three grandchildren: George Gonzalez, III, Alma Gabriela Gonzalez and Alessa Jolene Gonzalez. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Oscar De Hoyos, Hilda Manzo, Dora Elia De Hoyos, Efren De Hoyos and Rosalba De Hoyos. Visitation for Socorro was held at Memorial Funeral Chapel on June 20 and 21. A funeral mass was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on June 21. Interment followed at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapels. At this time, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for the Gonzalez family.

Guillermo Chavez

1935-2016

Guillermo Chavez entered into eternal rest on June 21, 2016, in Eagle Pass, at the age of 81. He 

was born March 30, 1935, to Daniel J. Chavez and Obdulia Cardenas. He is preceded in death by his wife, Leticia Martinez de Chavez. Guillermo is survived by his children: Leticia (Ray) Parker, Lytia (Alonso) Gonzalez, Loritz (Bobby) Polides, Lomeli (Leopoldo) and Guillermo Chavez. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Guillermo proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. Visitation for Guillermo was held at Memorial Funeral Chapel on June 20 and 21, 2016. A funeral mass was held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on June 21. Arrangements were made under the care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapels. At this time, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers for the Chavez family.
