The Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce held their annual May Community Breakfast which showcases, as most gracious emcee Claudia Rodriguez-Wright put it, 'the best of the best' of our 2015 classes of graduates.

Mike Garcia had the honor of delivering the invocation in his usual well-elaborated manner, with a focus on academic goals and achievements up to now where he reminded the grads that no matter where they go, or what they do, to always take God with them, to take Jesus Christ with them, "We ask your blessings Father for those who will be leaving us here in the near future to watch over them and take care of them," as they will one day return to further enrich this community.

It was then that Principal Vale Moreno came up to the podium to proudly announce the Top Five graduates of the Eagle Pass High School graduating class of 2015: Carla Cristina Hernandez the daughter of Claudia and Ismael Hernandez with a GPA of 103.1316, Marcelo Salinas, the son of Aracely and Ernesto Salinas, with a GPA of 103.6512, Arian Raúl García the son of Carolina Gonzalez and Rogelio García with a GPA of 103.9250, Salutatorian Hugo Cristian García the son of Laura and Hugo García with a GPA of 104.7619 and Valedictorian Noemi Ankara Tinajero, the daughter of Lorena and Noe Tinajero with a GPA of 105.7500.

"Good morning to all of our students, their parents and the members of our school board who are here with us this morning," stated Moreno, "First of all I want to thank the Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce for organizing this breakfast to honor our graduates."

He then recognized his staff and faculty for their diligent work they do on a daily basis with their students.

CC Winn High School Principal Jesus Diaz-Wever also addressed the crowd and also thanked the school board for enhancing the quality of education in Eagle Pass and thanked Superintendent Gilbert Gonzalez for his leadership and his commitment to education before equally unveiling the Top Five Graduates of the CC Winn High School graduating class of 2015: Chelsea Lynn Gloria, the daughter of Ivy and Santos Gloria with a GPA of 97.1538, Jesse James Alfaro, the son of Sonia and Juan José Alfaro with a GPA of 98.3514, Ariana Ruiz, the daughter of Claudia and Rolando Ruiz with a GPA of 98.6757, Salutatorian Jesús Isaías Vásquez, the son of María and Jesús Vasquez with a GPA of 101.0244 and Valedictorian David Chavarria, the son of Mireya and Esteban Chavarria with a GPA of 101.0976.
