MARIA TERESA JIMENEZ, Went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2014 at the age of 78. Born on August 8, 1936, in Eagle Pass. Left to cherish her memory is her Son Juan Jimenez III; Daughters: Adriana Gaitan of Jarrell, Janet Rodriguez of Georgetown, Veronica Martinez of Jarrell and Yvette Marquez of Eagle Pass; Brothers: Carlos Flores and Leon Flores; Sisters: Mary Hughes, Diana Lujan, and Ursela Aguilar. Also survive her are 11 grandchildren. Maria Teresa was preceded in death by her husband Juan Jimenez Jr. Visitation for Maria Teresa was held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:30 pm. Funeral services will be held today Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Joseph Church. Interment followed at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery. MARIA ANTONIA HERRERA, Went to be with the Lord on October 6, 2014 at the age of 82. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Armando Herrera; Son: Armando Herrera Jr. Also survive her are 4 grandchildren: Armando Herrera III, Karina Herrera, Leroy Herrera and Martin Rodriguez Jr. Great Grandchild Joel Cedillo. Visitation for Maria Antonia was held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 7, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Guadalupe Church in Piedras Negras. GONZALEZ
1939-2014
RUBEN G, GONZALEZ, 75, of Eagle Pass, Texas passed away on October the 3rd of 2014. Ruben G. Gonzalez was born in Anahuac, Nuevo Leon to Gonzalo Gonzalez and Rosa Guajardo de Gonzalez on the 12th of June 1939. He attended high school at Sabinas, Coahuila and earned a degree in Business Management from the Pan American University in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. Mr. Gonzalez worked as auto parts salesman for 47 years with 34 years as a business owner of Gonzalez Parts Supply, Inc. He was involved in youth sports and had the opportunity to serve as a Mason starting in 1960. Mr. Gonzalez had a few callings through his church to include 1st Counselor and Financial Clerk. He also enjoyed being around family and having outdoor festivities.
Visitation for Ruben was held on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Funeral services were held Monday, October 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints Church. Interment followed at County Cemetery. Ruben is preceded in death by his parents, Gonzalo Gonzalez and Rosa Guajardo de Gonzalez and his spouse, Maria de Socorro Romania de Gonzalez of Sabinas, Coahuila.
Ruben Gonzalez is survived by his wife, Sofia Mahamuth de Gonzalez and his children, Diana Schroder of Lindon, Utah, Rosa Beattie of Austin, Texas, Ruben Gonzalez of San Antonio, Texas, her daughters, Yemila Moreno and Laura Vasquez from Eagle Pass, Texas, and 15 grand children.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Ruben G. Gonzalez.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to American Cancer Society, Baptist Healthcare and Methodist Hospitals in San Antonio, Texas along with family and friends in the Eagle Pass community to include The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A special thanks for all the unconditional support and love from his brothers, Raul and Arnoldo Gonzalez, his sister, Rosa Gonzalez de Alanis and his family and friends of Sabinas, Coahuila.
