CORDELIA PEREZ, Went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at the age of 73 surrounded by her loved ones. Cordelia was a beloved mother, grandmother, Sister and friend. Left to Cherish her memory are her Son: Victor Manuel Perez from San Antonio, Texas; Daughter: Isela P. Tijerina from San Antonio, Texas; Brother: Rogelio Galvan, Hector Galvan and Eduardo Galvan Also survive her are 4 grandchildren: Oscar Tijerina Jr., Adriana Tijerina, Victor Manuel Tijerina and Victor Manuel Perez Jr.. Visitation was held on Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services were held Monday, June 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. JOHN EDWARD RITCHIE, entered into eternal rest on June 20, 2014 at the age of 72 in San Antonio. He is survived by his Wife: Martha G. Ritchie of Eagle Pass; 5 Sons: Chris Ritchie and Robert Ritchie both from Castroville, Texas, Rodolfo Jimenez, Kevin Ritchie and Clinton Ritchie all of Eagle Pass; 2 Daughters: Martha Velasquez (Frank) and Della Ritchie from Eagle Pass, Texas; Brothers: Walter Ritchie (Joyce), Michael James Ritchie Sr. and Edwardo Ritchie. Also survive him are 6 grandchildren, 1 Great grandchildren. Visitation was held on Monday, June 23, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church. JUAN ORTIZ, entered into eternal rest on June 21, 2014 at the age of 79, in Angleton, Texas surrounded by his loved ones. Left to cherish his memory are his 2 Sons: Gerardo Ortiz (Alicia) from Angleton, Texas and Victor Manuel Ortiz from Eagle Pass; Daughter: Rosa Linda Herrera (Carlos) from Eagle Pass; 4 Brothers: Ramiro Ortiz, Antonio Ortiz, Enrique Ortiz and Rogelio Ortiz; 4 Sisters: Adelina Contreras, Socorro Fernandez, Juanita Fernandez and Julia Aguilar. Also survive him are 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Juan was preceded in death by his wife Martha Ortiz. Visitation was held on Monday, June 23, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. CHARLES EDWARD GURWELL, entered eternal rest on June 22, 2014 at the age of 83. Charles was born October 4, 1930 to Irvin E. Gurwell and Mildred Cronk. He was married to Catalina (Kathy) Robles Sanchez on October 24, 1951. He is survived by his wife Kathy Gurwell of Eagle Pass; Son: Robert E. Gurwell-Robles of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico; 2 Daughters: Ruth Mae Gurwell Odom of Manning, South Carolina and Deborah Elaine Gurwell Harris of Carlsbad, New Mexico; Sister: Doris Sutherland of Conrad, Montana. Also survive him are 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death byparents Irvi E and Mildred C. Gurwell; son: Charles David Gurwell; grandson: Jared Robert Gurwell; 5 brothers: Donald Kenneth, Roy, Arnold, Willard and Clifford Gurwell; 2 sisters: Ruthie McMichael, Charlotte LaForce and Myrtle Gurwell. Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Yeager-Barrera Chapel.
