Roberto Estrada
1946-2014
Roberto Estrada, born on June 3, 1946, went with the Lord on May 12, 2014 at the age of 68 in Eagle Pass, Texas.
Born in Mexico, Roberto is survived by his loving wife Natalia Estrada, his son Roberto Estrada, and his daughters Teresa Estrada, Leticia Estrada, and Isabel Tapia. Roberto is also survived by seventeen grandchildren.
Roberto will be remembered as a great man and a prominent figure of our community. Throughout his life, Roberto was known to have a great passion for boxing. Piedras Negras’ “Beto Estrada” Gymnasium honored him by giving the establishment his name. Beside his undying enthusiasm for the sport of boxing, Roberto was also known to be a great friend, an excellent coach, and a loyal, caring man who was always there for his wife and children. Above all, he was an exemplary man for all who were close to him.
Roberto’s viewing will take place on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. A service will be held on the same day at Memorial Funeral Chapel’s A Chapel at 7:30 p.m. Another viewing will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., followed by his service at Sacred Heart Church starting at 2 p.m. He will be laid to rest at the Maverick County Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the great care and direction of Valdez & Sons Memorial Funeral Chapels.

Hector Ruelas
1943-2014
Hector Ruelas, born on November 20, 1943, went with the Lord on May 12, 2014 at the age of 70 in Eagle Pass, Texas.
Born in Mexico, Hector is survived by his loving wife Martha Ruelas, as well as his daughters Nanci Moreno, Josefina Ruelas, and Rebecca Ruelas. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
Hector will be remembered by those who knew him best as a kind, delightful man with great composure and patience. He was known to be a loving, caring man who devoted himself to those he loved. He was a kind husband and father, and a faithful, caring friend to those closest to him.
Hector’s viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, followed by his service commencing at 2 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel’s Chapel B. He will be laid to rest at the Maverick County Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the great care and direction of Valdez & Sons Memorial Funeral Chapels.
