Greg was born in Asherton, TX on Jan 23, 1945. He attended Texas A&M where he earned a degree in Education. It was then that Greg moved to Eagle Pass where he began his teaching career. In 1972 he married and moved to San Jose, California where he continued teaching. That same year is when his interest in the Martial Arts, Kajukenbo, began. He started training at nights and obtained his black belt in 1975. Greg started teaching Kajukenbo out of his garage at home; he soon outgrew this and had to move his students to the cafeteria of the school where he was now a Principal. In 2007 he retired and moved to Schertz, TX where he lived until the day of his death. Even though he retired, his love for teaching never stopped; he continued to teach Kajunkenbo, as well as English and Spanish classes to several people in the community. At the time of his death Greg was a professor in the Kajukenbo style of Martial Arts. He will be missed and remembered by his students and friends, but most of all his family.
Greg survived by two sons, Greg, III and Gabriel, four grandchildren, and 2
brothers.
